The logistics department in Arctic Group sees to it that the customer’s goods arrive at their destination safely and on time. We take care of forwarding from several hundreds of suppliers spread all over the world to sales companies in the Arctic Group.

From our head office deliveries from suppliers are monitored through own warehouses in Nørresundby and on to our shops and customers in the various markets. In order to make this in the fastest, cheapest, and not least safest way for the customer we see to it that:

• Our suppliers are evaluated continually with a view to optimizing procurement of the goods
• Continuous developing and optimizing stock
• The goods are combination packed, packaged, marked and dispatched from own stock
• Quality control is carried out on received goods
• The required licences/permissions are obtained for import/export
• Customs-, forwarding- and export documents are in order
• The companies’ goods- and master data are valid
• Return goods and complaints are taken care of
• Transport is arranged and goods are booked in with a transport / shipping company
• Inventory management and disposition in own warehouses
• Handling dues and charges
• The Business Intelligence System is developed and maintained.

The logistics function is strongly focusing on freight optimizing and takes care of following up on orders with the customer so that you always get the goods packed and sent at the most advantageous prices.
